Together these two archetypes represent the magic and mystery of all creation, and our journey towards the rediscovery of our divine essence. Labyrinth of the Rose is inspired by founder Dr Molly Pettit’s deep reverence for nature and her passion for bringing more compassion, care, and self-love into world in a way we can easily experience every day. A life-long lover of roses and the incredible healing gifts this magical plant and others can share with us, Molly is dedicated to understanding the need for a reciprocal relationship with our planet earth, and building a synergetic model of receiving and giving back to Mother Nature. Molly has ancient feminine rose lineage descending from both the Red Rose of Lancaster and the White Rose of York. Having grown up in a little house called Rose Tree Cottage in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Molly now lives surrounded by rose gardens and the natural wilderness of country New South Wales.
Molly completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2017, in which she explored the symbol of the labyrinth in the ancient world. Through her study of ancient cultures, Molly has found that archetypes of the divine feminine cosmic creative force found in spiritual cosmologies around the world offer us many paths to reconnecting with both nature and our own true spirit as part of the cosmic web of life. Molly is also a highly qualified yoga teacher specialising in Patañjali Yoga, a Sound Healer, Master Reiki practitioner, and a Kundalini Dance facilitator focusing on embodied archetypal movement and chakra activation. Molly is a certified Vedic Chanting teacher in the lineage of Krishnamacharya, and is continuing her studies in aromatherapy, herbal medicine, and Sanskrit. She is completing a book about the labyrinth as a blueprint of life and tool for spiritual growth and evolution. Molly loves to explore ancient sacred sites with her life partner Owen, and weaving multiple healing modalities with the practices of dowsing, sound therapy, working with earth energies, and tracing our ancestors’ cosmic connections with the stars.
Molly designs unique products for Labyrinth of the Rose by drawing on ancient Egyptian, Vedic, Celtic, Greco-Roman and other traditions with a combination of traditional herbal recipes and creative intuition.
